Hey, Ertsy people! The wedding season is here and it is sizzling and we Ertsy people never lag behind whether it is the fun or the music. Keeping up with our fashion and heritage of suave, here’s a list of 5 Saree Songs for a bomb playlist and that’s not even all the fun you can have with a Saree.
Now, for our international readers, a saree is, well, it is a 4.5m to 8m drape in beautiful textures, fabrics and colours, styled in varying ways for various occasions across the Indian Subcontinent. Today it has n number of ways to be draped but as a standard, is tied around the waist with one end draped over the shoulder, baring the midriff.
This is what it looks like:
You can find this and some more eccentric Sarees for yourself on Kraftly!
And because of how sensual and elegant it is, so many global stars from Angelina Jolie to Lady Gaga, Selena Gomez, Victoria Beckham and even Pamela Anderson have graced it!
So, basically, sarees are a big part of the Indian culture and so is dancing and music, so, these songs are here to celebrate both the aspects of the Indian Culture at its best. The soongs we have chosen are a mix from over the decades. And, well, it has been a very difficult choice to make. Finally, though, we’ve been able to decide that are these songs we totally dig for their dance, saree styles and the beats. So, even if you don’t quite understand Hindi/Punjabi/Marathi, you can still listen to these songs just for the aesthetics and the super dope beat. *wink*

The spin-off one where Katrina’s post break-up abs have more of a presence than Siddharth Malhotra. *Starts Dancing*
