Busy in tapping the SS17 trends for the past couple of weeks, I started looking at my older posts to check the trends I’ve covered in the past. To my utter shock and surprise, I’ve never actually done a complete look dedicated to the monochrome. Now, I sure have done some looks which have the monochrome shades and have drawn inspiration from it but nothing speaks of my love for the original black and white monochrome itself.
So, if you’re not sure what monochrome is, it is used to describe paintings, drawings, design, or photographs in one color or values of one color. A monochromatic object or image reflects colors in shades of limited colors or hues. To give it an ertsy edge, I chose an off-shoulder monochrome dress. And because the dress I chose is so classy and chic, I decided to shoot this look as I maneuvered in the posh streets of Paris, traveling in style and a little bit of panache.
For the over-all tonal look, I recommend this look as the best fit in the street luxury wear section. While I did take some shots near the grass patches, I think the definition of the look came out best in the street set up. Overall, however, I loved shooting this look and my comfort was at all time high with the attire I chose.
The Monochrome Look:
Monochrome Off-shoulder dress with detail borders and full sleeves
A Black and Red Bandana that can go around your neck or on your head to tame the tresses
Transparent Ankle Socks in Black
Pointed toes tie-up bellies
As a day edition of the smokey eyes, I had less black and more semi-gold eyeshadow on with a chic winged eye-liner. Further, a red lipstick to complete the look perfectly.
So, that was that about my monochrome maneuver in this Ertsy Look Of The Week. If you have any ideas or suggestions on what I should try next, leave it in the comments below. Catch me for my next ‘Travel in style’ adventures right here. Till then, stay ertsy and be your own desire.
