Hey Ertsy people! For everyone who’s been reading this blog, my love for travel in style is literally no news. Another thing about me, which is hard to miss is the fact that I love lists. So, when I had the idea to make a travel bucket list, enthusiasm was all I was filled with. Further, the idea is also exciting because I love setting goals for myself and then working towards achieving them. And, if having travel feet has taught me anything, it is that your bucket lists are always met with if you try hard enough and go far enough.
So, here’s a list of 5 places that I’m planning to travel to in 2017!
My Travel Bucket:
The capital of northern Italy’s Veneto region, is built on more than 100 small islands in a lagoon in the Adriatic Sea. It is the only city in the world that is a World Heritage site, too. I’m all set to fill this city with my style travel aesthetics the next weekend (11th & 12th March) it still is on the top of my travel bucket right now, though.

Santorini is one of the Cyclades islands in the Aegean Sea. It was devastated by a volcanic eruption in the 16th century BC, forever shaping its rugged landscape. The whitewashed, cubiform houses of its 2 principal towns, Fira and Oia, cling to cliffs above an underwater caldera (crater). I believe that this place is not only beautiful but also pays significant homage to the interaction of human beings and nature. Besides, with the summer already here, I can’t help but think about a beach!

3) Rome & Vatican City
Italy’s capital, a sprawling, cosmopolitan city with nearly 3,000 years of globally influential art, architecture and culture on display. And, Vatican City, headquarters of the Roman Catholic Church, has St. Peter’s Basilica and the Vatican Museums, which house masterpieces such as Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel frescoes. I am putting these two together, because I’d like to go to these places together and get the most out for the Dan Brown enthusiast in me. *wink*

4) Zurich (Swiss Alps)
The picturesque lanes of the central Altstadt (Old Town), on either side of the Limmat River, reflect its pre-medieval history. Waterfront promenades like the Limmatquai follow the river toward the 17th-century Rathaus (town hall). But that’s not all, the fact that Swiss Alps are right there gets the Bollywood lover in me jumping. (Search SRK)

The last, but definitely not the least is Prague. Nicknamed “the City of a Hundred Spires,” it’s known for its Old Town Square, the heart of its historic core, with colourful baroque buildings, Gothic churches and the medieval Astronomical Clock, which gives an animated hourly show. So, basically, it has all my favourite aesthetics but is all the more important because it is my best friend’s most loved destination, too.
