5 Places on my 2019 travel list

Irrespective of how awful 2018 was for the world, I have to give this year credit for all the amazing things it brought me. Whether it was my school, career or the blog, I had my struggles but came out victorious, always. If not with a prize, always with a lesson. However, the highlight of this year was the fact that I took 12 trips all over the world (between Asia and Europe). I started the year with a travel list blog and while I didn’t tick all the destinations, I do believe it was my good juju. Probably why I did more than I planned. So, here I am, with another article to finish this year wishing on some travel inspiration and wishes with the 5 places that I have on my 2019 travel list.

I’m definitely a list person. Even in my day to day life, I create n number of lists to stay on top of everything in my life. I mean, how else do you juggle so much together efficiently. Plus, the best part about these futuristic listicles is that I end up doing a lot more than I plan for. Obviously, I want to travel more than I plan for, so a win-win basically!

1. Iceland

I’ve been head over heels Iceland ever since I discovered about it in my Lonely Planet about 6 years ago. I mean, I wasn’t oblivious to its existence but the details of its scenic beauty and unbelievable natural occurrences are just something that has gotten me hooked. I hope I’ll be able to brave the idea of all that cold this year and see the magical northern lights, too!

2. Turkey

From Istanbul to Cappadocia, Turkey is as magical as it gets. It’s a gem that I’m waiting to discover in my own style. And the perfect blend of modern and traditional make for the best pictures, too. So, obviously, this is a major priority for me.

3. Fiji

I took three beach vacations this year and I’m not tired, to say the least. I know, I know… when you think of Fiji the first thing that comes to mind is – Fiji Islands honeymoons. With all the weddings that 2018 has witnessed, it’s safe to say that Fiji must’ve become one of the top locations. And why not! The islands look absolutely breathtaking. Well, I do love myself a lot so the only honeymoon I’ll be taking to the Fiji Islands will be myself. (thank you, next)

4. Egypt

As if this country needs a justification with one of the oldest civilizations, the rich history, & the Great Pyramids of Giza, I have always had an ambiguous affinity to Egypt. Maybe I was Queen Cleopatra in a previous life, maybe my parents made me watch The Mummy too many times as a kid. Either way, I can’t wait to go all Bollywood in the deserts of Egypt!

5. Greece

Another great combination of beach, history, culture, and a lot of aesthetic views. I am sure you can see a pattern in my choices by now. Santorini, in particular, has been on my travel list for about 2 years now and I hope this year will be it! (fingers crossed)

So, what do you think of this list? Would you like me to add some more amazing places on my 2019 travel list? If so, add them in the comments below. Thanks to my friends at Winter Sun Honeymoons for helping me make this article possible. They actually offer all the above destinations in their cool packages!

Now, that we’re done discussing my list, go ahead and make your list but don’t treat it as a ‘bucket list’ to be ticked but as a manifestation of your desire to experience new and amazing things in the world.
