Kimono and Gladiators #ErtsyLookOfTheWeek

Kimono and Gladiators #ErtsyLookOfTheWeek

Hey, Ertsy people! The resort season is here and I’m loving the trends that it has brought along. Whether it is the stripes, florals in pastels, the color red, Kimono and Gladiators, or just the high fashion twist to everything Greek, or the tassels, I’m in love with it all. In fact, it is actually kind of delightful to see that these are the exact trends I’ve been tapping in my ertsy style collections.

Taking the initiative forward, this week, I decided to do my own edit of the resort look. To be honest, this is just the first part of my list. Also, now is a good time to minimize the pastels in my style book, too. Which is why, I tried to clean the slate by going for the neutral color- white. The look does have the resort feels with the kimono, the gladiators, and the basket bag but the base color theme is neutral overall.

If I talk further about my inspiration just the fact that two major styles from Greece and Japan coming together is motivation enough for me. The Kimono and Gladiators are a part of the tradition of both the cultures and yet do amazingly on the street and high fashion style. The Kimono, the gladiators, and the basket bag make for eccentric but an interesting combination. In fact, I was rather unsure when I started styling this look but it actually turned out to be rather amazing.

The kimono and gladiators are the perfect for style and comfort all at once. So like in every ertsy style, again, the emphasis on the comfort and confidence that I could sport this look in. The look is perfect for the resort winds as well as the fashion spirits.

The look:

White skater dress

Cream and nude pink floral kimono

Brown Flat Gladiators

Basket bag with tassels

Delicate nude pink necklace

Nude pink tassel earrings

Hair and Makeup:

BB-cream, light contours, pastel starlet lip color, eyeliner, and mascara

Lightly Straightened hair with side pins

So, that was me officially markings the beginning of the resort season 2017 at Ertsy and all my travel in style adventures to follow will be in sync. You can catch them all right here, twice every week. Till then, stay ertsy and be your own desire. x
